    This is working so well for us. I have been non-weight bearing for 11 weeks and have several weeks to go. Our master bedroom is upstairs. My husband and 2 sons did the installation. The unit came with 4 gray braces. My husband painted them white. He also ordered 4 more (and painted them white). The additional 4 gives it more stability and it runs quieter. We had the same issue other reviewers mentioned, where it wouldn’t work and we couldn’t figure out why. After reading reviews, my husband adjusted the magnetic screw under the seat. It worked after that. Ameriglide should include that in the instructions as we could not find any information on the issue until I started reading reviews and found the solution. Customers shouldn’t have to read reviews to find out how to make a product work. This is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.I included pictures because we have a fairly narrow staircase and it fits comfortably. The gate is to keep our young grandson from going up the stairs alone. We moved the handrail higher to clear the seat back.All in all, we are very happy with this.

    So far I can't make the Remotes work. My son (57) and me (83) installed this totally in 6 1/2 hrs.Update: After reading the reviews, I learned how to make an adjustment to the seat latch sensor which also fixed another problem I encountered which was periodically stopping while going up or down.

    It works really well. Did the install myself in under 2hours (I watched the YouTube video first). Customer service was top notch.We had a minor issue with one of the sensors in the seat... Tech support knew immediately and told me what to do. Happy customer.

    After several months of continuous use the chairlift from AmeriGlide has performed flawlessly. I would highly recommend this setup whether it's done as a DIY project, as I did, or you have it installed. Very sturdy and durable and easily fastens to stairs.

    Product came as described, rail was dented from shipping, parts were missing (hex driver etc). Installation was simple, I would suggest watching the installation video on the Ameriglide’s website.
